CardlockFuel.com, a new website by the WRX launched in early 2020, is now accepting company registrations by fuel marketers. The website will serve to provide commercial fueling site lists and locations across the United States. The service is free for all participants and will be funded through an ad-based business model.
While individual fleet card providers and fuel marketers provide locations for their own accepting sites, one is hard pressed to find a single site that includes all cards and sites with search capabilities by location and card. This site will provide this capability while also promoting regional fuel marketers and cardlock providers.
To ensure data accuracy, the site is participant maintained, meaning that marketers are responsible for adding and maintaining their own sites. To that end, petroleum companies and fuel marketers that own and operate their own fueling locations are urged to register on the website so that they can begin adding sites. Accommodations will be made for file imports to avoid execessive data entry.
In addition to the main website, a mobile website will be developed in the coming months to assist drivers in locating cardlock sites. Further out, a dedicated mobile application for iOS and Android will be released.
In addition to the cardlock site locator, the website will provide industry news and press releases. Any companies wishing to share news and releases for the site are encouraged to inquire through the contact page.
